Meet our director
Matseleng Gilbert Legodi, the director of Legodi Lifts, began his lift-industry career in 1988. He worked as a technician, troubleshooter, supervisor, service leader and field engineer before taking on an adjuster role.
In 2005, Gilbert moved into a management role overseeing service, installation and workshop operations. He managed the installation and manufacture of passenger, goods-only, car, paraplegic, platform, dumbwaiter, hydraulic and gearless passenger lifts. He is registered with ECSA as a lift inspector and has more than 28 years of lift-industry experience.
His work includes troubleshooting, project completion, technical adjustments, commissioning support and inspection across different lift types. This experience allows Legodi Lifts to understand both the equipment and the practical requirements of the building using it.

Our experience covers passenger, accessibility, goods, vehicle and specialist lift applications, with each solution planned around the building and its intended use.
Passenger lift solutions for offices, public buildings, schools, homes and commercial areas, planned around the building and the people who use it.
Motor-roomless, complete-cabin paraplegic lifts use a screw drive, with limited-pit options. Hydraulic platform lifts are available in different load capacities and configurations, with limited-pit and headroom options.
Hydraulic lift installations can be fitted inside a shaft or supplied with a structural shaft, helping buildings work within restricted pit and headroom conditions.
We supply and install gearless simplex and duplex passenger lifts in various passenger capacities and speed configurations, tailored to the requirements of each building.
Shaft-supported goods-only lifts are available in various load capacities and configurations, including options for restricted pit requirements. Car and car-park lifts support buildings where parking space is limited.
Dumbwaiters are available in various load capacities and operating speed configurations for suitable service and goods applications.

Our work covers the technical, operational and compliance needs that arise across the life of a lift installation.
